Colin Andrews was born in Northern Ireland and is currently based in Scotland. He works from a studio perched on a cliff by the sea on the east coast of Fife. He studied Fine Art Photography at Glasgow School of Art and Electronic Media at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee. Colin has exhibited extensively internationally and works across a range of media including video, photography, installation, sound and light. Works are conceptually driven and created for a variety of contexts and domains including galleries, cinema screenings, commissions and public art-works with ideas often addressing issues of perception, time, memory and uncertainty. He balances his artistic practice with academic life as a lecturer in Photography and Film at Edinburgh Napier University.
